Rita G. Hummingbird, CPA/Member


Rita Hummingbird received her undergraduate accounting degree from Texas Lutheran University and obtained her CPA certificate in 1974. A member of the Society of Louisiana CPAs, Rita also served as president of the Estate Planning Council of Shreveport and participated on the Louisiana Tax Conference Committee. She served as a member and chairman of the Shreveport Downtown Development Authority and as a member of the Texas Lutheran University Corporation. Rita previously served on several not-for-profit boards, including the Shreveport Chamber of Commerce's Executive Committee, and was a recipient of the Leadership Council's Rising Young Business Leader Award. She is currently serving on the Board of Directors of Southfield School, having just completed a two year term as board chair.

Robert E. King, III, CPA/Member


Rob King received his undergraduate degree in accounting from Centenary College and obtained his CPA certificate in 1981. As a member of the Society of Louisiana CPAs, he was chairman of the Louisiana Accounting and Auditing Committee. Rob also supervised Louisiana's Accounting and Auditing Conference, which presented the latest accounting and auditing issues to Louisiana CPAs. Rob was chairperson of the Shreveport Private Industry Council and president of the Board of Trustees for Loyola College Prep. He served as treasurer for the Biomedical Research Foundation of Northwest Louisiana, for the Shreveport Sesquicentennial Commission, and for the Samaritan Counseling Center. Rob is currently the president of Rutherford House, the treasurer of Goodwill Industries, and a board member of the Shreveport Workforce Investment Board.
